Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents needed for Milton Hershey School. A two-person married couple will reside in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and adapting to a nine-on/nine-off schedule with eventual placement in a consistent student home. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person collaboration on application (for married couple)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
- Experience with youth in supervision/mentorship roles
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet restrictions as stated (fish and one dog)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to live on-campus in student homes
- Ability to work nine consecutive days on, then three days off; transition to placed houseparent
Desired Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans

- Experience working or volunteering with youth

- Willingness to participate in training and relocation (relocation assistance)

- Experience planning developmental and recreational activities
- Proven mentoring and supervision capabilities
- Proselytizing prohibition in Judeo-Christian context
