Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School (Hershey, PA) oversee on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions with Sunday Chapel. The role progresses from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; able to serve as role models for students
