Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus role for married couples as Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. The team lives in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning over time to a placed houseparent within the same student home. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; includes responsibilities for safeguarding student wellness and a structured, family-like living environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
