Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married-couple role) reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, and provide care, supervision, and mentorship to 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and managing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transitioning to a placed Houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; both spouses must complete individual employment applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
