Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School are a two-person, married-couple role living in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, manage routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a placed houseparent with a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle, followed by ongoing residence in a single student home. Both spouses must apply individually; the role requires youth experience, a valid U.S. driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
