Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. The couple resides in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, coordinating daily routines, planning activities, transporting students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The position starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and can transition into a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Compensation is $44,768 per person (with total compensation for a couple around $168,000, including housing and benefits). Benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Eligibility to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel services
