Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role on a campus-based student home: married couple residing on-campus to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a placed Houseparent. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, planning developmental activities, coordinating student travel and activities, and maintaining a structured, family-like home environment. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, willingness to live on campus, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free environment. The role offers relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and a total compensation package per couple; salary is $44,768 per person with benefits including housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
