Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and support for groups of 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentoring, medication administration, transportation to activities, and coordination of routines, devotions, and Sunday Chapel. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes, eventually progressing to a placed houseparent position living with the same group of students. Includes budgeting oversight, household reporting, and comprehensive benefits with relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Couples must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Relocation assistance provided
- On-campus residency in a student home with live-in supervision responsibilities
- Experience working with youth or volunteers in youth settings
- Capacity to supervise, mentor, and lead students in devotions and Chapel services
- Comfort planning and leading daily routines and activities for 8–13 students
- Ability to drive student vans after certification
