Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in Hershey, PA, caring for a group of approximately 8–13 students within on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role follows a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living-and-working arrangement with the same student home. Benefits include salary per person of $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple when including housing/benefits), relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive health and retirement benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for legally married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
