Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of about 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living in the same student home; requires two-person, legally married couple with relocation support and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-year marriage minimum
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying to Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
