Job Summary
Perform comprehensive outpatient pulmonary evaluations, diagnoses, and longitudinal management for patients with asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and sleep-related breathing disorders. Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies, manage medication regimens including biologic therapies, and complete prior authorizations. Provide patient education on disease management and collaborate with physicians and office staff to ensure continuity of care. This role offers high autonomy within a collaborative practice focused on patient-centered respiratory care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current New York State PA or NP license
- National board certification
- DEA registration or eligibility prior to start date
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Previous outpatient APP experience
- Experienced candidates only
- Prior experience in pulmonary medicine strongly preferred
- Experience managing biologic therapies and prior authorizations preferred
