Job Summary
Full-Time Night ICU coverage for pediatric patients as PA or CRNP in the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine team, performing procedures such as intubation and placement of central and arterial lines. Provides patient care with independent judgment, communicates effectively, and collaborates with physicians, other health care providers, patients, and families to achieve desired outcomes. Participates in ICU rounds during day and night shifts, supports quality and safety initiatives, and seeks ongoing professional development to advance clinical practice. Requires CRNP/PA credentialing, PA licensure or CRNP certification, and relevant pediatric critical care competencies. Location: UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh; Nights (13-14 hour shifts). The role emphasizes leadership potential, teamwork, and commitment to the community and healthcare profession.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) certification
- Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required
- Current CPR certification
- Act 33 Clearance will be required
- Act 73 Clearance will be required
- Act 34 Clearance required
- UPMC PA PA licensure (NCCPA)
- BSN or MSN preferred (MSN preferred)
- Professional nursing experience and/or nurse practitioner experience preferred
- Pediatric ACNP or PA program accreditation
- National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania state board of nursing
