Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live in on-campus student homes and, as a two-person married couple, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of around 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, facilitating daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to reside in on-campus student homes and participate in a structured schedule
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models
