Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents: a two-person married couple will reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and developmental activities for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, driving to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent arrangement living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, retirement plans, and paid time off. Requires high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free/weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Applicants must be married for at least two years and both spouses must apply individually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children reside in the student home
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
