Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off duty cycle to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. The role offers relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training; compensation is provided per person (with total couple compensation around $168,000).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model expectations
