Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside on-campus in a student home at Milton Hershey School, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for ~813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, with a rotating nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule and eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person (~$44,768, with total compensation around $168,000 per couple), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and chapel
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol while on duty
