Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) at Milton Hershey School who reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and guidance, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and progress to a Placed Houseparent role with a nine-on/three-off schedule. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs, life/disability, retirement plans. Must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses age 27+, and hold a high school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student vans required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, two-year married requirement
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Chapel services
- Proficiency in overseeing budgeting and household reporting
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
