Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campus, a married couple living in on-site student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid training, relocation assistance, and on-campus housing/meals. Both spouses must complete individual employment applications to be considered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couple
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role modelling for students
