Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, and help create a structured, family-like environment. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students daily, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from initial nine-on/three-off duty cycles to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided as part of the benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proselytizing prohibited
