Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (married couples) reside on-campus in a student home in Hershey, PA, providing daily supervision and mentorship to 8–13 students, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, and guiding devotional and Chapel attendance. The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes, then transitions to a placed houseparent with a single student home. Benefits include a per-person salary of $44,768 (total compensation ~ $168k per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and relocation assistance with paid training. Qualifications include experience with youth, a legally married two-person couple, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive school vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort leading daily devotions and Chapel services; adherence to a smoke-free, weapon-free, and alcohol-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- No smoking and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pass background checks as part of school environment
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA per posting requirements
