Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two married spouses) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel, oversee household budgeting/reporting, and transition to a placed houseparent role. The position requires both spouses to complete individual applications, offers on-campus housing and meals while on duty, relocation assistance, and a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role must be completed by both spouses individually
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Two-year marriage minimum for couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Proximity to or willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA or Aubrey, TX (on-campus housing)
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
