Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents—a two-person, married-couple role—reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule initially runs on a nine days-on, three days-off pattern, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Additional Requirements
- Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
