Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person team) reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for ~8–13 students; responsibilities include supervising and mentoring daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a fixed student home. Benefits include full compensation for both spouses, comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off. Requires experience with youth, a valid U.S. driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; applicants must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
