Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing care, supervision, and mentorship to approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Compensation is $44,768 per person (about $168,000 total per couple, including housing and meals); relocation assistance and paid training are provided. Requires two-year married partners, both aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
