Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in Mount Sterling, IL, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from initial nine-on/three-off duty cycles to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrated integrity and professionalism. Must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses aged 27 or older. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, paid time off, and on-campus housing meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
