Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on an on-campus student home to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle across multiple student homes and eventually transitions to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person with total compensation around $168,000 per couple, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, paid time off, and on-campus housing/meals. Requires a legally married couple, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
