Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School are a two-person, legally married couple living on campus to supervise 8–13 students in a student home. They provide care, guidance, supervision, and support, including administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and following a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Must be a legally married couple for consideration
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
