Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents needed at Milton Hershey School to live on-campus and supervise 8–13 students in a family-like home. The two-person, legally married couple will provide care, guidance, supervision, and support, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a Placed Houseparent role with a consistent student group. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students

- Couples living on-campus in student homes
- Must reside with students or on-campus housing while on duty
- On-campus on nine days on, three days off schedule
- Proselytizing prohibited during devotions/chapel services
