Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents on the Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, reside in on-campus student homes of ~8–13 students and provide daily supervision, mentorship, medications administration, transportation to activities, and developmentally-focused activities; lead devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee household routines and budgeting, and report on operations. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent; relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid time off. Requires a two-year-married two-spouse commitment, HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a smoke- and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
