Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles for married couples at Milton Hershey School. The team resides in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Requires a two-year-married relationship, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; relocation assistance provided. Salary is $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple with benefits). Responsibilities include supervision, mentorship, transportation, activity planning, and facilitating student development in a structured, family-like environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person married couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; model for students
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
