Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on-campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation for activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. They oversee household routines and budgeting, with a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and a future transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Two spouses aged 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
