Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple role living on campus to supervise 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role progresses from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Compensation includes per-person salary, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and designated paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
