Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for a married couple to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School. Provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition into a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; paid training and PTO offered. Must meet two-person couple requirements, maintain a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and adhere to safety constraints (no alcohol on duty, pet limits, and lifting ability). Relocation assistance provided; valid driver’s license and potential van certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
