Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School campus to care for and mentor a group of 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship; managing household routines and student schedules; administering medications; transporting students to activities; planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities; leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel; and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a rotating schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a fixed home. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, retirement savings, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
