Job Summary
Screen patients for sick call, assist with minor surgical procedures, and administer prescribed medications while maintaining security against drug hoarding and trafficking. Conduct observation rounds, evaluate symptoms and progress, and record in-progress notes. Coordinate chronic disease clinic scheduling and document all detainee contacts while ensuring strict confidentiality of medical records. Maintain compliance with industry and company policies for accreditation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an approved program; graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse in the state the facility is located
- Maintain a current copy of license on file at the facility at all times
- Ability to provide the following services: crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessment, medical nursing care and psychiatric nursing care
- Ability to perform nursing diagnosis and appropriate follow through treatment without direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years of direct work experience, preferred
