Job Summary
Conduct relay testing and control scheme verification on high-voltage substations across utility, industrial, and bulk power projects nationwide. Perform static and dynamic testing using Omicron, Doble, and similar equipment to verify CT/PT circuits and upload settings. Generate field documentation including logs, sketches, and digital reports while reporting directly to on-site Project Leads and Field Supervisors. Requires hands-on experience with medium and high voltage electrical systems, familiarity with NETA and IEEE standards, and proficiency with ProTesT, Protection Suite, and Omicron Test Universe. Valid driver's license with a clean record required. Role is 80% field-based with multi-day deployments, overtime eligible, and includes interview travel reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with medium and high voltage electrical testing — circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, and substation P&C systems
- Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, and NFPA testing standards
- Proficiency with ProTesT, Protection Suite, ENOSERV RTS, Omicron Test Universe, and/or AcSELerator Quickset
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Willingness to travel
- Experience in protective relay testing
