Job Summary
Perform installation, operation, testing and maintenance of protection and control devices and related equipment (digital relays, electromechanical relays, intelligent electronic devices, SDRs, DFRs, oscillographs and event recorders, RTUs and SCADA systems, statistical load metering, telemetering and transducers). Install, maintain and operate power line carriers (PLC), tone, pilot wire, fiber and associated P&C communications equipment. Respond to emergency call-outs and coordinate prompt restoration of service. Calibrate protection & control devices, diagnose trouble, and assist with corrective action. Operate computer devices to test, calibrate, and retrieve data from protection & control equipment. Travel may be required; PAT is required. Valid state driver’s license required. Live within 35 miles/40 roadway miles of the service location. Physical demands include heavy work.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology, electronic technology, or related technology field
