Job Summary
The Practical Nursing Instructor position involves providing high-quality instruction, evaluating student progress, maintaining accurate records, and mentoring students in the Practical Nursing Program. The role requires collaboration and communication with students, faculty, and clinical sites, as well as compliance with healthcare-specific requirements such as CPR certification and background checks. Candidates must hold an unencumbered RN license in Mississippi, possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and have relevant clinical or faculty experience. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered RN license in Mississippi.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Three years clinical experience working as a RN or two years' experience as faculty in a nursing/allied health program.
- Satisfy clinical agency requirements, including background checks, immunizations, CPR, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using technology including email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, and Internet use.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
- Ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a team.
- Ability to take initiative to solve problems.
