Job Summary
Coordinate collaborative delivery projects from scope definition through construction, overseeing day-to-day site activities and ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and deliverables. Assist with project delivery method selection, develop requirements for RFQs or RFPs, and review submittals for conformance with engineering standards. Monitor construction status, observe contractor work and perform field inspections, and coordinate design meetings, permitting, and commissioning activities. Keep the owner apprised of decisions and respond to Requests for Information. Perform duties under limited supervision with independent judgment.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of alternative project delivery methods
- Thorough knowledge of construction processes and procedures, specifications, standards, materials, and methods used in the wastewater industry
- Ability to read and comprehend construction plans, specifications, inspection and test reports, and other documents associated with construction projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with clients, senior management, and regulatory agencies
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred
- Design-Build Professional (DBIA) Certification
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from a school with an ABET accredited program and twelve (12) years of experience on multi-discipline construction projects
