Job Summary
Oversee all operational functions of your independent grocery business, including setting targets, managing costs, recruiting, coaching staff, and executing merchandise programs across Produce, Meat, Deli, Bakery, Grocery, and Dairy. Drive increased sales performance through employee and customer obsession, creative merchandising, and suggestive selling strategies while maintaining strict adherence to financial budgets for Sales, Shrink, Labour, and Controllable Expenses. Liaise with community partners, District Managers, and vendors to foster strong relationships, resolve day-to-day operational issues, and ensure compliance with all legislative and store standard guidelines.

- Community-focus with the demonstrated ability to build and cultivate long lasting relationships with local community groups
- Demonstrated financial acumen with the ability to understand and interpret Profit and Loss Statement, and the ability to drive and deliver consistently outstanding financial results vs budgets/targets
- Solid merchandising and marketing knowledge with the ability to execute programs to drive sales and gross profit
- Required proficiency in Fresh and Dry Operations
- Required proficiency in inventory control
- Required proficiency in cash office operations
- Required proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Required proficiency in SAP
- Ability to maintain composure and decision quality under pressure while achieving result
- Leadership in Environment, Sourcing and Community pillars of sustainability and social impact
- Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal background check
