Own Brand Packaging & Product Artworker (4 days - FTC)
Remote
Job Summary
Prepare print-ready artwork files from approved designs across packaging formats including boxes, sleeves, wraps, labels, tubes, and tins. Extend established design systems to create new SKU variants and size derivatives by adapting existing designs to new formats without requiring designer input on each version. Help codify design guidelines for product subcategories so that variant creation is consistent, documented, and repeatable. Manage artwork to supplier specifications regarding bleeds, colour profiles, dielines, and technical tolerances while liaising with print suppliers on queries and physical proof sign-off. Maintain and organise the own-brand artwork library through version control and asset management to support the growth of the range and design system.
Required Qualifications
- Print expertise: You have deep, hands-on knowledge of print production - CMYK and Pantone colour management, dielines, bleed, trap, and ink coverage.
- You know the difference between what looks good on screen and what works in print - and how to execute it successfully.
- System thinking: You can look at an existing design and confidently work out how it scales - and you know when it doesn't.
- You're comfortable working within a design system and helping to build it out, not just execute from it.
- You are obsessively accurate.
- You notice when a spot colour isn't labelled, a bleed is wrong, or a font hasn't been outlined - and you don't let it through.
- You can manage a high volume of live files across multiple projects without losing track.
- You work quickly and communicate proactively.
- You work closely with designers rather than in isolation, and you're comfortable flagging creative or technical concerns clearly and early.
- You actively seek out automated workflows and AI-assisted tools to work smarter - whether that's template generation, asset management, or variant creation.
- You understand that the value of this role is judgment and precision, not manual repetition.
Desired Qualifications
- You have the guts to try new things and step up to do what matters most.
- You make sure there's thoughtful rationale behind your approach and always act swiftly to implement ideas.
- You pour care and creativity into everything you do and pay attention to the things that make a difference.
- You're open about what you're doing and why, and you welcome challenges from each other.
- You believe in the power of connection.
- You work together in person every day (or connect in person every quarter depending on team needs).
- You agree with your manager on how much you work from home and from the office.
- You trust your teams to make the right decisions about where and how they work each day.
- You are passionate about who Bloom & Wild is as a brand and how it shows up creatively in the world.
- You love seeing Bloom & Wild grow.
- You work at a fast pace, pouring thought and care into everything you do.
- You collaborate closely with Research to inform your thinking.
- You work with the Range and Business Development teams on designing products and services.
- You work with the Germany team on plans that resonate in their local market.
- You work with the Digital Product and Design teams on the website and app.
- You are excited about our values.
- You are passionate about what you do.
- You would like to join us in doing things more thoughtfully.
