Job Summary
Load bulk meat logs into meat slicers, perform random re-weight checks, and inspect product for quality and foreign material contamination. Place pre-determined amounts of sliced meat into packaging, reject non-compliant items, and fill boxes to required levels. Ensure boxes are properly palletized and maintain clean, sanitary areas throughout the shift. Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to perform random re-weight checks
- Must be able to inspect product for quality and foreign material contamination
- Must be able to place pre-determined amounts of sliced meat products into packaging
- Must be able to reject meat product that does not meet specifications
- Must be able to place required number of packages into boxes
- Must be able to inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute
- Must be able to ensure boxes are filled per required levels
- Must be able to place completed boxes on pallets ensuring proper pallet configuration
- Must be able to place empty pallets into position for proper stocking
- Must be able to maintain areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- Must be able to inspect equipment for sanitary conditions
- Must be able to contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed
- Must have a safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture
