Job Summary
Coordinate workloads, monitor issues, and ensure product development meets customer quality standards while implementing proper packaging department procedures. Execute processes for de-clipping, inspecting defects, loading meat into film pockets, and verifying package integrity at inspection tables. Manage tasks including boxing, palletizing, reviewing labels, loading cutting equipment, labeling containers, covering products to prevent cross-contamination, staging containers by lot and species, and loading stick products by count or weight. Perform product checks during production runs, conduct sanitarian tasks to maintain clean conditions, and stock PPE in designated areas. Work 40+ hours per week in temperatures of 40 degrees or less, standing for 10 hours daily, with mandatory overtime availability.
Required Qualifications
- Able to professionally communicate with cross-functional departments
- Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail
- Capable of managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with rapidly changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week
- Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary
- Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
- Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Must be highly attentive to detail (i.e., meat type/film/date)
