Job Summary
Coordinate workloads and monitor issues to ensure product development meets quality standards and customer requirements. Implement proper procedures for the Packaging department, including de-clipping, inspecting for defects, loading into film pockets, and verifying package integrity. Execute tasks such as boxing, palletizing, labeling food contact containers, covering products to prevent cross-contamination, and staging containers by lot number and species. Perform sanitarian tasks, stock PPE, and conduct product checks during production runs to maintain quality specs. Work 40+ hours per week in temperatures of 40 degrees or less, standing for 10 hours daily, with mandatory overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- Able to professionally communicate with cross-functional departments
- Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail
- Capable of managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with rapidly changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week
- Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary
- Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
- Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Must be highly attentive to detail (i.e., meat type/film/date)
