Job Summary
Coordinate workloads, monitor issues, and ensure product development meets quality standards and customer requirements. Implement proper procedures for the Packaging department while executing specific tasks including de-clipping summer products, loading meat into film pockets, inspecting package integrity, and palletizing according to product patterns. Perform sanitarian tasks to maintain clean packaging rooms, stock PPE, and stage containers by lot numbers and species. Review product labels, load cutting equipment based on size and species, and package stick products by count or weight. Conduct product checks during production runs to verify package integrity and quality specs are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Able to professionally communicate with cross-functional departments
- Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail
- Capable of managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with rapidly changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week
- Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary
- Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
- Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Must be highly attentive to detail (i.e., meat type/film/date)
