Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, including scheduling personnel, managing shipping and receiving, and maintaining inventory control. Supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures. Handle equipment maintenance, resolve discrepancies in shipping and invoices, and execute storage buy audits to conserve space. Manage progressive disciplinary processes and coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient store functions. Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience
- preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to maintain the integrity of the Company's business operations and reputation as well as compliance with its policies and procedures, including the handling of confidential information, currency, and other forms of payment
