Job Summary
The Guest Service Associate/Overnight Valet Attendant greets guests, parks and retrieves guest vehicles safely, assists with luggage, provides directions and information about local amenities, explains parking rates, issues and tracks tickets, and maintains a professional, friendly demeanor during overnight shifts (Wednesday–Saturday, 11pm–7am). Requires a valid driver's license, basic math and English abilities, one month of related experience (or equivalent), and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Position emphasizes hospitality, guest service, and proactive assistance to guests and colleagues in a high-touch hotel environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Valid driver’s license for the applying state (or within commutable distance)
- One (1) month related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract, money handling)
- Ability to understand and operate in 24-hour/military time systems
- Ability to understand rates and parking operations
- Ability to operate a manual transmission (highly desirable)
- Willingness to perform duties outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist guests for extended periods
- Effective communication and guest interaction skills
