Job Summary
Administer medications and treatments per facility policy, record and restock inventories, and process discontinued medications as directed. Measure and record vital signs including pulse, temperature, and blood pressure, while observing resident behavior to report any changes. Complete necessary forms, charts, and reports, review written care plans, and assist with resident care as needed. Report errors in medication administration immediately. Requires Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification and standardized medication training; previous TMA experience preferred. Schedule is 10:00pm to 6:00am with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes through a Minnesota postsecondary educational institution
- Current certification and listing on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for consideration
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Previous experience as a TMA
