Job Summary
Lead and supervise the Nursing Department as the Veterinary Technician Supervisor, providing scheduling, performance feedback, and training to the nursing team within an AAHA-accredited, 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. Responsibilities include managing scheduling and coverage, supervising and developing staff, coordinating with doctors and hospital management, maintaining high standards of culture and professionalism, facilitating ongoing training and continuing education, and acting as a communicative link across departments to ensure accurate patient care and department efficiency. Must hold a CVT, RVT, or LVT credential with leadership experience preferred, and possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities to support a fast-paced veterinary environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a CVT, RVT, or LVT
- preferably a minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience
- excellent communication/people skills
- ability to work with and without direct supervision
- fluency in English (speaking & reading)
