Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging positively with travelers, operating the point-of-sale system to process payments, and following all cash handling policies. Prepare and serve quality food through kitchen tasks like prepping, cooking, and packaging while ensuring proper food safety and temperature controls. Thoroughly clean and stock workstations, actively cross-sell products, and maintain knowledge of available services. This full-time role requires standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Applegreen USA operates over 80 travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest offering a wide range of food options.
Required Qualifications
- Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
- Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
